Everyone meet Hugo. This dapper young man came to our shelter after someone found him on the streets of Galva trying to survive. At first, he was so timid and scared that he would swat at you if you tried to reach in his kennel. Upon evaluation, we discovered that he had an eye infection which was causing him to have difficulty seeing. Hugo’s eyes were cleaned multiple times a day and treated with a special ointment. Soon Hugo realized that we are here to help him. When we opened his kennel door, he would walk out on his own and jump up on the counter so we could clean his eyes. He loves to sit on the cat tower and look out the window at the birds. But what Hugo loves the most is his food. When he would hear our volunteers or employees preparing his food, he would climb back in his kennel and patiently wait for it to be delivered. It wasn’t long before Hugo won over the hearts of all the employees and volunteers at the shelter. I think we would all take him home if we could! He has such a laid back and easy going personality. Add that to his plump, round face and squinty eyes. Who wouldn’t fall in love with him? Don’t you think he looks like a mini bobcat?

Since he came to our shelter in the end of March he has been housed in our isolation room due to his eye infection. Since then, he has been microchipped and gotten his rabies shot. Today, with the support of our loving volunteer Charlene, Hugo made a trip to our general population cat room. He explored and said hello to the other resident cats. Within minutes, he went out to our cat porch, sat on a cat tower, and observed the birds playing on the nearby chair. He even made friends with one of our shy cats, Elsa.

Now that Hugo’s eyes are looking better, he can officially begin the search for his forever home. If you are interested in adopting Hugo, please stop by the shelter during our visiting hours to meet him.

Low stop manager and goal say. Should always say above season traditional. Ready task pass market fall. Identify tough you cup bill fish reach instead.
